As a shopaholic, I always seek out valuable deals and discounts for my purchases. I recently visited both HomeGoods and At Home stores, and I decided to compare both the stores based on their prices and product offerings. In this blog, I will discuss my experience and help you decide which store suits your needs better.

The Store’s Overview 🏬

HomeGoods’ and At Home’s business models are almost the same - offering home decor, kitchenware, bedding, and more at discounted prices. HomeGoods, owned by TJX Companies (also the parent company of TJ Maxx and Marshalls), has over 800 stores in the United States. On the other hand, At Home has around 225 stores across the US. Both stores have a similar approach, with endless unique items and thousands of products for their customers to choose from.

Similarities And Differences Between HomeGoods And At Home 🤔

HomeGoods and At Home have plenty of similarities. From my experience of both stores, here is what I noted:

Similarities:

  • Both stores offer trendy and stylish home decor items.
  • They frequently have new merchandise because they have a quick turnover of inventory.
  • Both stores have online shopping options for their customers.

Differences:

  • At Home stores are bigger and more spacious than HomeGoods stores.
  • HomeGoods offers a broad range of clothing and pet supplies, whereas At Home doesn’t.
  • At Home has an extensive collection of outdoor furniture whereas HomeGoods doesn’t.

Merchandise And Product Quality 🛍️

When it comes to the quality of the items sold at HomeGoods and At Home, both stores provide goods of incredibly affordable prices with top-notch quality. Brands such as Kate Spade, Pottery Barn, and Anthropologie have been spotted in HomeGoods. In contrast, At Home has unique brands that are exclusive to their store. However, while HomeGoods has more name brands, At Home has a broader selection of furniture and outdoor items.

Typically, I discovered that HomeGoods’s products are more current, with an emphasis on the latest trends. At Home seems to concentrate on the big picture, providing a themed experience, such as Bohemian, Mid Century Modern, and other decor styles. It’s always nice to have a broad range of choices when it comes to decorations, and both these stores provide it!

The Best Deals 🛍️

Now let’s get into the essential question- Which store provides the best deals?

In my experience, HomeGoods offers better deals than At Home on most products. But the ultimate deal breaker may depend on the product you’re looking for price points. HomeGoods offers top-tier home decor items at affordable prices. Their items are always affordable and usually well below the price you would find elsewhere.

However, At Home’s prices are often a bit higher than HomeGoods’, mainly because it’s a bigger store with more substantial items. In contrast, HomeGoods tends to have better deals on home decor items and has a broader selection of clothing and pet items. As a result, it all depends on what you’re looking for - for furniture and outdoor items, At Home can be an excellent option. But for home decor, HomeGoods is the better choice with its consistent low prices.

Conclusion 🎁

Both stores offer a vast selection of reasonably priced home decor items, and at the end of the day, both stores provide great deals. However, for unique home decor items and affordable prices, HomeGoods takes the lead over At Home. At Home is perfect for those who are in search of more significant items such as furniture and outdoor items.

It’s hard to decide which one is better entirely because both stores are great in their ways. However, one thing we can conclude is that they both have a vast inventory of home decor items, and you’re sure to find something you’ll love in either of the stores.
