The Colosseum, Rome 🇮🇹

Let’s start with one of the most iconic structures in Rome, the Colosseum. This amphitheater was completed in AD 80 and remained in use for nearly 500 years. It had seating for up to 80,000 spectators who came to watch gladiator fights and other public spectacles. Today, it stands as a symbol of ancient Rome and a testament to the incredible engineering and architectural feats of the time.

The Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt 🇪🇬

Next up, we travel to Egypt to marvel at the Great Pyramid of Giza. This iconic structure is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex and was built around 2500 BC as a burial tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. With a height of 147 meters, it remained the tallest human-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years.

The Taj Mahal, India 🇮🇳

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, India, and is one of the most exquisite examples of Mughal architecture. Commissioned in 1632 by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal, the monument took over 20 years to complete and is comprised of white marble adorned with intricate Pietra Dura and calligraphy work.

The Eiffel Tower, Paris 🇫🇷

Ah, Paris. A city of romance, fashion, and, of course, a great deal of history and architecture. The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world, towering at 324 meters and constructed in 1889 for the World’s Fair. It has become synonymous with the city of love and attracts millions of visitors each year.

The Burj Khalifa, Dubai 🇦🇪

Let’s end our tour soaring high above the clouds to the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa. Located in Dubai, this tower stands at 828 meters and has 163 floors. It was completed in 2010 and boasts a variety of luxurious apartments, hotels, and offices, not to mention being home to multiple observation decks with incredible views of the city.
