The Great Pyramid of Giza 🏛️

We’re taking it way back to ancient times with our first stop, the Great Pyramid of Giza. Built over 4,500 years ago, the pyramid was a burial tomb for Pharaoh Khufu and is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in Giza. It’s estimated that the construction took around 20 years to complete and required the labor of thousands of workers. Despite its age, the pyramid’s construction still baffles experts today, with intricately placed blocks weighing up to 80 tons each.

Fun fact: The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only Ancient Wonder of the World that still exists today.

The Colosseum 🏟️

Next up, we’re hopping over to Rome to take a tour of one of the most famous amphitheaters in history, the Colosseum. Built from concrete and sand, the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world and could hold up to 80,000 spectators. It’s famous for its gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, and other forms of entertainment. Despite being damaged by earthquakes over the years, it still stands as a testament to Roman engineering and is a popular tourist attraction today.

Tip: Book a skip-the-line ticket in advance to avoid long queues and save time.

St. Basil’s Cathedral ⛪

Let’s travel east to Moscow to explore the colorful onion domes of St. Basil’s Cathedral, located in the heart of Red Square. Built in the 16th century by order of Ivan the Terrible, the cathedral was dedicated to the capture of the Tatar stronghold of Kazan. It has since become an iconic symbol of Moscow, with its vibrant colors and whimsical designs inspiring many artists and architects around the world.

Highlight: Be sure to pay attention to the cathedral’s unique layout - it’s actually made up of nine chapels placed around a central core.

Sydney Opera House 🎭

Our final destination takes us down under to the stunning Sydney Opera House. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the opera house is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. It took over 14 years to complete and cost over 10 times the original budget. Despite its rocky construction history, the opera house has become an iconic symbol of Australia and a world-renowned performing arts venue.

Fun fact: The opera house’s design was inspired by the shape of orange peel, and each of its sail-like shells is covered in over one million tiles.
